THE NEW INN, HEREFORDSHIRE

Recently, Fritz Fryer provided lighting for The New Inn, Herefordshire. The lights needed to reflect the atmosphere of this cosy commercial space – utilising warm coloured metal finishes and flex cable colours to enhance the inviting ambiance. Nestled in the beautiful Hereford countryside, The New Inn boasts a gorgeous restaurant, serving a delicious modern British menu. The interior is decorated with furniture of warm yellow and orange colours, with plenty of exposed natural wood beams to add to the authentic, rustic feel. When Fritz Fryer were approached to provide the lighting, our sales team suggested lighting that would best suit the style of the restaurant.

Cluster chandeliers

In the snug corners, 3-way ribbed Hereford dish cluster chandeliers provide decorative lighting. The antique brass metal finish, paired with orange coloured flex cables, creates an intimate, warm feel – in keeping with the restaurant’s vibe. The dish cluster itself provides three sources of illumination from a singular fitting, making it a fantastic way to achieve extra light for darker areas.

Copper Moccas

Copper Moccas’ illuminate the bar and some of the tables on the restaurant floor. For homey, rustic commercial spaces, the copper Moccas is a popular choice. The hand-spun copper shade provides that sought-after, authentic feel. Paired with the exposed wooden beams and muted, calming tones of the New Inn’s interior, the Moccas is a perfect extension of the cosy and inviting atmosphere.

Pendant Light

The shape of the the Wye Valley pendant shade, which is inspired by the classic railroad shade shape, further adds to the traditional-style of The New Inn. The skinny ribbed glass helps to create a distinctly vintage feel that feels at home within the space.

Wall lighting

The Classic wall lights add warmth and texture. Each handmade silk shades is lined, internally, with a gold colour, which creates a gorgeous warm reflection on the walls when the fitting is lit.
