A sneak peek onto the fourth floor of Liberty London

Our story within the lighting industry started when the colourful character Fritz Fryer himself started restoring and selling antique lights from this gorgeous rural part of Herefordshire in 1982. When our current owners Karen and Simon took over the business in 2004, they continued this tradition, making us one of the UK’s longest-trading lighting shops, with over 35 years of expertise. Vintage and Antique lighting forms an integral part of what makes us ‘lighting specialists’, Fritz Fryer’s vintage collection sits proudly alongside our ever-growing range of contemporary, hand-made lighting.

When Fritz Fryer and Liberty London collide

So when Liberty London got in touch to arrange a meeting in our showroom in Ross-on-Wye to see our collection, we were over the moon. Founded in 1875, Arthur Lasenby Liberty envisioned creating an emporium of luxurious items from newly discovered lands. Liberty has become a specialist in high-end craft with Arthurs’s vision still very much the heart of the business ethos so to be invited to be a part of the newly refurbished 4^th floor showcasing British craft, is a real honour, to be acknowledged as leaders of British Antique and vintage lighting.
