When the opportunity arose to do the lighting design for a beautiful bourgeois apartment in Nice we lept at the chance. Vibrant colours, high ceilings and lots of lovely period features added a fabulous backdrop for the mix of contemporary and antique lighting.
The vibe was classic but semi industrial, an eclectic mix of luxury and utilitarian with some vibrant fushia pink and orange highlights thrown in, so we had great fun experimenting with different flexes and metal finishes on the cluster chandelier over the dining table and added some quirky lamps and some vibrant fabric shades.
The bedrooms were also a mixture of bug inspired fabrics, bold colours and both modern and contemporary lighting, with the Gorsley copper reading lights beside one of the beds making a beautiful feature and a smoked Hereford dish cluster as a ceiling pendant. For the hallways we went with our stunning new Aston lanterns to add touch of steampunk.
