This is an absolutely stunning flush to ceiling light, known as a Plaffonier. The elegant light has been attributed to the exquisite British company F&C Osler.
It was made for electric, around 1910 and has 5 lamp holders within it, illuminating the stunning beautifully smooth satin glass beautifully.
The silky soft glass is molded to achieve the curved detailing, the curves are added by hand to produce the decorative detailing set in the glass and the frame is silver plated with a silver plated finial.
This could have originally been situated in a vast hallway or a sun room, where they may not have had a great ceiling height. Wherever this light is installed it will certainly make a statement in your home.
