The Upton Contemporary Glass Pendant Light is one of the most popular from our modern Fritz Fryer Lighting Collection. As with all of our shades they are highly versitile and look great on our handmade pendant sets as well as our collection of wall lights.
Both ribbed and clear glass are available. The clear glass is a perfect partner to the pear shaped, squirrel cage LED light bulbs, or traditional filament as it mirrors their form and encases them beautifully.
The Upton Modern Glass Pendant Light takes it name from the small village of Upton Bishop in our home county of Herefordshire. Upton Bishop may be small but it is steeped in history and interest. Between the fifth century and the time of Saxon Kings up until the corination of Queen Elizabeth 1st it was in the possession of the Bishops of Hereford. As well as this it has been home to some literary historians who have documented the villages past such as Francis Tebbs Havergal. As well as being the Vicar of Upton Bishop from 1874 he was also the author of multiple books on the history of Hereford Cathedral.
Fritz Fryer Collection lights are made using high quality, components and twistflex pendant sets. Our designer lights are handmade in our workshop in Herefordshire, UK where we endeavour to produce functional, traditional and contemporary lighting for country cottages and period homes as well as contemporary apartments and modern builds.
