If you’re planning to visit us then here are some of our favourite local places:

Kate’s Favourite
- Cottage of Content (she’s often to be found here!) - a great country pub in Carey, in a beautiful spot with good food.  TripAdvisor descriptions include phrases such as ‘hidden gem’, ‘our favourite pub’, ‘off the beaten track’, ‘fabulous food’.  We agree!

Karen’s Favourite - The Green Man - For superb food and lovely B&B you need look no further than the Green Man in the village of Fownhope.  Following extensive renovations it is now a stylish, but traditional village pub.

Margaret’s Favourite - Glewstone Court – A real country retreat.  Wonderful food and fantastic atmosphere.  Why not treat yourself? You won’t be disappointed.

Holiday Cottages - The Ashe – Set amidst the farm where our photo shoot took place. A more welcoming host than Maria could not be imagined.

Dave and Jan’s Favourite - The King’s Head Hotel For those liking the traditional feel, serving good food in the centre of the historic market town of Ross on Wye.

Simon’s Favourite - Truffles – A superb delicatessen with focus on high quality local produce.  (Best sandwiches in town!).

Kate’s Mum’s Favourite - Pots and Pieces The perfect place for a cup of tea and a slice of cake.

James’s Favourite - Broome Farm B&B (especially when the famous Cider festival is on) Famous locally for cream teas and cider – not at the same time!

Richard's Favourite - Pedal A Bike Away - If you prefer high action adventure try these guys, plus they have a very interesting lighting scheme, as designed by Fritz Fryer.  Follow the development of their chandelier on our blog
